This house was built in 1946 in one of the first post-World War II housing developments in Salem. All around were open fields of the former farmland. Relatively unchanged, it is a reminder of the renewed residential construction that gave homes to returning servicemen, like the teacher who first owned this house. The second owners were Olga and Hilda Ask, who had retired from farming. It is still in possession of the third owners.
