When the Franklin family lived in their Portland Road residence, this cabin was moved there from Lloyd Reynold’s home nearby. He had previously used it as a “clubhouse” for his gentlemen friends ~ a place where they could play cards and smoke their cigars away from women-folk’s disapproval. No one knows its true age, but this “rustic architecture” is reflected in our own Oregon Park hotels, built in the same romantic spirit of the 1930s, recalling our past.
